Dedication of Charlie Belle

Update: I wrote this post while still in the states. Currently CB is in the hospital with RSV and Lord willing, will be released tomorrow. Thankfully, the Lord has been giving her little body strength and energy in the last twenty-four hours and Hannah says Charlie Belle is getting back to her happy little self. This is a picture she sent today.
Don't ya' just love her sweet dimple??? She is a precious gift!

Warning: there are a bajillion pictures in this post!
What a special day to be here!

February 19 was Charlie Belle's dedication day at church.
It was such a blessing that it was during the time that all of us were going to be in town.

 Good morning family!

Filling up two pews of family - CB, you are loved, darling baby!
Committing to raise Charlie Belle in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The church has the parents choose a verse for their child.
Ben and Hannah's first submission was to see if they would say anything,

2 Kings 2:23-24 - From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. (NIV)
They noticed! The real verse chosen for CB was
Psalm 78:4 - We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. (ESV)

Ben and Hannah are already telling the glorious deeds of the Lord to CB.

It was a precious day!
We had a great time enjoying family with each other and spending sweet time together.
We were all so thankful for the weddings this summer (Luke and Abby and Zac and Megan) so that we can all hang out again.

Soaking it up - Family Time

I left Panama right after school on Friday, flew to DC, and jumped in the car with mom and dad. We left the airport at midnight and settled in for the overnight drive to Nashville.
Part of the urgency was to see that cute baby and we had family driving in from Illinois and wanted to spend time with them too.

There she is!!! That little munchkin of cuteness!!! She has changed so much in the past few weeks. So thankful to be able to spend time cuddling and loving on her!
 Meeting the little miss!!!!
Megan came too, which was so fun! She is marrying Zac this summer and can't wait to see her then!
Chatting and such with Megan and Dana
Maddie Jean meeting CB. When did Maddie grow up so much??? I feel old!
 Sweet sleeping princesa!!!
I am the oldest grandchild on the Main side and Maddie is the youngest. This past summer at the reunion, I was only taller than Maddie. Alas, those days are over. I am officially the shortest grandchild. It's ok. I've worked through those issues! :)
This picture makes me smile! Granny and Pappy would just sit and watch CB or cuddle with her. They are adorable grandparents.
Great-grandma Jean meeting Charlie Belle for the first time. Love it!
Dinner time with the fam at Chuys
 So fun!
 The ladies!
Only Aunt Kate, the birthday girl, wanted her picture taken.
Charlie Belle had no small share of being held.
